Bibliography Builders

Free online bibliography websites.

The Citation Machine is a free service of the Landmark Project. It is an easy to use resource for both MLA and APA bibliographic formats. Students can use it to cite print and online information. This is a true bibliography maker; just type in the information and it makes the bibliography then copy and past it into your document. http://landmark-project.com/citation_machine/cm.php
LIBRARY & INFORMATION SCIENCE: Citation Guides for Electronic Documents is a good resource for both APA and MLA styles. It gives examples and directions but is not a bibliography maker where you type in the information and a program puts it in the right place with the punctuation. http://www.ifla.org/I/training/citation/citing.htm

The Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil ran an article about online bibliography sites in the November 3, 2003 issue. These resources were taken from that article.

The first site Easy Bib has a free resource called MyBib. This is a user-friendly true bibliography maker. Students can plug in their information and the program will produce a MLA citation. It is available for all types of media, books, CD-ROM’s and the Internet. http://www.easybib.com/

Online! A Reference Guide to Using Internet Sources is a supplement to a book by the same name. This resource gives a detailed explanation for citing all online resources including e-mail and instant messaging. Assyrians were a nomadic tribe in Mesopotamia. We have the Assyrians to thank for some advances in science and mathematics. This website has popups but does contain lots of information about Assyiria.
